Why We Built This Site
Massachusetts publishes a great deal of court information, but the hard part is knowing which office holds the piece you want. A warrant does not live in one place. The court that issues it sets the charge and the bail, and the clerk's office for that division is the only counter that can confirm or recall it. The Barnstable County Sheriff's Office is the separate agency that serves civil process and holds jail and booking records, and it does not run a public criminal-warrant search.
The state adds its own wrinkle. Massachusetts keeps warrant entries in a court-based system under M.G.L. c. 276, §23A rather than in a public name-search portal, and remote access to criminal dockets runs on a case number. That means a person can check one office, find nothing, and wrongly assume the matter is closed.
Barnstable County also spreads its work in a way that surprises visitors. Barnstable, Falmouth, and Orleans each host a District Court division, and each division serves a different set of towns. We pulled the contact details, the search routes, the case-number layout, and the request steps for every one of those offices into a single place.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Massachusetts court, the Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. The limits on what we can offer are real:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant in any system
- We cannot post bail or accept any payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a walk-through at a clerk's counter
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a particular warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or office hour on this site is correct today
Only the clerk of the court that issued the order can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or served. We can point you to that office, but the answer has to come from the court.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site carry search boxes that run on third-party services. Those companies set their own prices and run their own products. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue keeps this site free to read. We do not control what a partner charges or what appears in its results, and nothing a partner returns is an official court record.
